BKK Fun (Events and Activities with Friends in Bangkok)

Welcome to our Table tennis group. We are a friendly group who love Table Tennis. We usually play Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings at Central Plaza Bangna, top floor, which has the bonus of air conditioning and proper rubberised flooring material.

Located on the 7th floor just above the cinema of Central (between the Aqua Park and cinema. Look for the escalator with the Joola sign and table tennis bat pictures). There are 12+ table tennis tables for 100 Baht the whole day. Please pay the staff at the counter directly as our organizers receive no money from members.

We currently "self organise" our events by communicating on a Line group. Ask event organizers to add you to the "LINE" group.

We meet on Saturdays from 2pm and Wednesdays from 6pm.

If you plan to play regularly you can buy pre-made racket at a sports shop or get a custom made one at one of several specialist table tennis shops in Bangkok including at the venue we meet. Rackets are available to rent at the counter where you pay to play (20 or 40 Baht a time).

P.S. There are no showers or changing facilities although you can use the toilets downstairs to change before and after playing

P.S. The nearest BTS stations are Udom Suk and Bangna. From there you can take a taxi or bus (please use Google maps or the application ViaBus for bus numbers)

P.P.S. You can rent a table for 100 Baht an hour if two or more people just want to play for a short amount of time and there's professional coaching available from the staff

We host Weekly Ball Hockey games usually on Saturday or Sunday afternoons at the British Club located on Silom Soi 18.

We welcome anyone interested in hockey: beginners-experts; male-female; Thais and Farangs. We are all about having fun and getting some good exercise playing the greatest game in the world.

WHAT IS "BALL HOCKEY"?

Ball hockey is basically the same game as ice hockey, the main difference, is, of course, it's played on a court and not on ice. But the sticks are the same and the rules are basically the same.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?

All you need are your running shoes. We have extra sticks available at the court but if you have your own it's recommend to bring it.

Most people also wear soccer shin pads and hockey gloves.

The fee to play is just 100 Baht for regular sessions.

Changing rooms with showers are available and water is provided.

When our members meet in person around Bangkok, they might be meeting at board game cafes which might charge a fee, or at other venues, but we never charge for playing games. We have been playing board and card games for more than nine years now, making friends, and having lots of fun over the years.

If you are from a Western country, you may remember playing Floor Hockey or as it is called here in Thailand, Floorball in Junior or Senior High School.

Unlike Ice Hockey or Roller Hockey, you don't need to skate and the sticks are plastic which is an equalizer to even the best hockey players.

All ages, skill levels, genders, and nationalities can play equally as well. It is a fun game of hockey without the roughness or dangers associated with ice/roller hockey.

All equipment (sticks and ball) supplied.

It is 250-300 thb to play, pay organizer at the event.

If you want to get a good run in and work your cardio in a fun way instead of jogging in the park, you'll get a great 2-hour workout doing this. It's as safe as hockey can be (the ball is soft plastic, hockey sticks soft plastic, no body contact (no checking), and the equipment makes everyone's skills comparable. It's fun for everyone.
